Silk Market and Central Market
These are two of the most emblematic buildings of traditional Valencia. The Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange) is a 15th century Gothic building that was used for trade for centuries. It consists of three main areas and the garden known as the Patio de los Naranjos. It stands out for the great variety of its architecture and sculpture.
Just opposite is the Central Market of Valencia. It is one of the oldest markets in Europe still in operation and is often frequented by tourists. You can find seasonal fruits and vegetables, all kinds of fish and fresh meat, hams, cheeses, olives and, above all, many local products, including the traditional horchata. Walking around becomes an explosion of colour and flavour. The market is open Monday to Saturday from 7.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
The bus lines 4 and 19 close to Original Domino Houses can leave you just five minutes from both buildings.
