These two monuments are among the most important in Valencia as they reflect the\u00a0<strong>military architecture<\/strong>\u00a0of the period.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comunitatvalenciana.com\/en\/valencia\/valencia\/monuments\/the-serranos-towers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Serranos Tower<\/a>, located to the north, has this name because the<strong>\u00a0road connected<\/strong>\u00a0with the Serranos region and, in turn, linked the cities of Zaragoza and Barcelona with Valencia. As a curious fact, during the civil war some of the works of art from the\u00a0<strong>Prado Museum<\/strong>\u00a0were guarded to prevent looting or theft.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, on the facade of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comunitatvalenciana.com\/en\/valencia\/valencia\/monuments\/the-quart-towers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Quart Towers<\/a>\u00a0you can still see the\u00a0<strong>cannon<\/strong>\u00a0hits it received during the<strong>\u00a0Spanish Civil War<\/strong>. It is so called because in the past, if you followed the path it took you to the Valencian municipality of Quart de Poblet.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things you can do when you go to these places is to go up and admire the\u00a0<strong>late Valencian Gothic<\/strong>\u00a0structures or the parts where fragments of the\u00a0<strong>Muslim wall<\/strong>\u00a0are still preserved. To get to the Quart Towers from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dominohouse.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Original Domino House Hotel<\/a>, you have to take the\u00a0<strong>bus line 92<\/strong>\u00a0and walk for 5 minutes.
